This month we are practicing: RESPECT
Week of February 6 - 10 It’s About Space!
We will explore the sun, the planets and constellations with crafts, books games, stories and songs. A field trip to the Ladd Planetarium at Bates College is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8 at 9:30 a.m. Drivers are needed for our 9:15 a.m. departure. The Tuesday, Thursday children are invited to join us. See us for more information.
Week of February 13 - 17 Valentine Celebration!
This week’s activities will come straight from the heart. The children will construct their own mailbox to receive Valentine cards from their friends. We ask that the card your child brings in to exchange has no name on the envelope. This will enable each child to place a card in each friend’s box without having to read a name. Monday and Tuesday only please.
Week of February 20 – 24 Winter Break – No School!

Week of February 27 – March 2 Let’s Talk Transportation!
How do you get from here to there? Many different ways will be discussed. Various crafts and projects will enhance this week’s theme. Besides the usual planes, trains and automobiles, what are other forms of transportation? Think about it and let us know at circle time!

Dates to Remember!
If you would like to meet for a conference, especially if your child is going to Kindergarten in the fall, then keep these dates open; Wednesday, March 21 and Thursday,
March 22. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the hallway bulletin board two week prior to conference dates.

REMINDERS –
We go out to play (weather permitting) almost every day, so please make sure your child has proper outdoor wear (hats, gloves, mittens, snow pants, boots) for that day’s weather.
The semi-circle in front of the Main entrance is for handicap and emergency vehicles only. Please park in the parking lot.
Don’t forget to save your used ink jet cartridges. We will use the funds from these to purchase computer software. A carton is kept in the hallway for your convenience.
School weather cancellations – if Auburn Public schools are closed, so are we. Tune to WCSH TV Storm Center (Channel 6) for our cancellation announcement.
